CPD Candlelight Vigil

Join us at the Chicago Police Department’s Annual Candlelight Vigil!

As you know, it is a dangerous time to be a police officer. 600 Chicago Police officers have lost their lives in the line of duty. At the Gold Star Families Private Reception, we are able to let the families of our fallen heroes know, in a meaningful way, that we will never forget the sacrifice made by their loved ones; that we will never forget them; and that they will always be a part of the Chicago Police family. The Gold Star Families are able to spend time with each other, with their friends and supporters and with the Chicago Police family. It is truly an emotional and healing experience for the families. At the Vigil itself, the name of every fallen Chicago Police Officer is read aloud in a stirring ceremony, so that we, as a City and a community, will always remember them. Won’t you help us honor the families of our fallen heroes who have lost so much in service to the City of Chicago?

Join us as we remember and pay tribute to our fallen Chicago Police officers.
