Education Assistance
The Children
Currently, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation supports educational expenses for twenty-two children of fallen and catastrophically injured Chicago Police Officers. Ranging from two to twenty-one years old, the Foundation covers tuition, room and board and other educational expenses from pre-school through graduate school.
It is our mission to ensure these children graduate debt free. They have all endured a massive hardship in losing a parent. We certainly cannot fill that void, but we can help support them in their parent’s place.
Annually, CPMF pays more than $300,000 in educational expenses. This includes tuition fees as well as an educational grant to help cover extra costs associated with school like books, uniforms and transportation.
We have children at grade schools all over the city and colleges all over the country, including Morgan Park Academy, Loyola Academy, University of Miami, Georgetown University and so many others. We are proud of each of our Gold Star Children and enjoy watching them grow and succeed.
